It needs to be a true add-on; that is, it shouldn't increase the memory footprint of the running program if one doesn't have a supported chat account enabled.
Perhaps the Vivaldi browser approach is an option. There you can easily configure various desktop apps such as Threema and Mastodon etc. in the sidebar. An integration of Threema would be particularly important to me.
Can you also integrated Signal and Whatsapp
