Right now, when deleting or moving an email to another folder, the next email below is selected.
No email message should be selected. It should just show an empty right pane. Lots of email programs have that feature, and many don't. I always would like this feature. Has to do with privacy too in case someone is around.

Make this a setting so people can still choose if they want an email selected, whether above or below the deleted/moved email.
