Ah yes. The old, USENET-style tree view. I wonder why, in recent years, it seems to be out of fashion on mail apps. Apple's own Mail has also given up on it as well. Worse, it seems that all these apps attempt to reorder messages in a conversation according to "priority" or "relevance" or some other obscure metric — when all we need is reverse-ordered by date, of course, and nicely indented/outdented messages at each level.
I mean... Reddit still has it. WordPress comments (including via Disqus, wpDiscuz, and similar plugins) still do it that way. Even YouTube continues to abide by the tree view. They cannot be all wrong, can they?
