I’m writing to request an enhancement to the Calendar feature in eM Client regarding the synchronization of color labels and tags with Google Calendar. Currently, there seems to be an issue where the tags set in eM Client do not sync with Google Calendar, and the color labels from Google Calendar are not displayed within eM Client.
This lack of synchronization makes these features quite frustrating to use, as they become essentially useless for organizing events across both platforms. It would be incredibly beneficial if eM Client could properly sync these color labels and tags, ensuring consistency and a seamless experience for users who rely on both eM Client and Google Calendar for scheduling.
Proposed Enhancement:
Two-Way Sync: Enable two-way synchronization of color labels and tags between eM Client and Google Calendar, allowing changes made in either platform to be reflected accurately.
Color Consistency: Ensure that color labels applied in Google Calendar are visible and correctly displayed in eM Client, and vice versa.
Implementing these improvements would significantly enhance the functionality of the Calendar feature and provide a more integrated experience for users who utilize Google Calendar alongside eM Client.
Yes this would good. However this may not be possible if the eg: current Google Calendar API doesn't allow to sync the same Calendar event colours to a mail client. Might be a restriction.
@cyberzork I'm not sure about restrictions with mail clients. On phone I use a calendar client that supports event colors with no restrictions (Calengoo). They also have a version for windows that can access mail as well (you can move the mails in different folders but not answer them, so it's not really a mail client in that sense but the point is: color is synced - it's not impossible, the only question is, how they implemented it)
Have been in contact with support about it and it doesn't seem like this feature is high priority at the moment or will be there any time soon. They write "the concept is different to what we use, and to what is supported with all other calendars". Bummer, that's not the first restriction I encountered with eMClient as a calendar client.
