I use a desktop computer as my daily workstation, but occasionally go on business trips for several weeks and take my notebook computer with me. My solution is to create a backup of my current eM Client database and transfer it to my notebook computer just before I depart for the airport, then import it into the eM Client that's installed on my notebook computer. I reverse the process when returning from the field to my home office.
This is a tedious effort because eM Client downloads a lot of duplicated messages. Once the new computer is connected to the Internet, all of the messages in the various mail server caches are downloaded as new messages. So, duplicates need to be manually sorted through and deleted along with preserving new mail that has been recieved in the interum. This process takes at least an hour and can lead to mistakenly deleting important messages.
It would be a lot easier to have the ability sync the databases across computers or at least prevent the downloading of many weeks of duplicate email after the database has been moved to a new computer.
This is unnecessary for IMAP or Exchange protocol accounts. For example, all my accounts are IMAP and therefore already synch automatically across my devices.
I can see this is is an issue if you use POP3 protocol or have Local Folders active.
Surely just having the same accounts should do what you need, providing you are using current standard protocols (Exchange and IMAP)?
