I would like to be able to write rules that mark things as spam based on some criteria, but make an exception for senders who are in my address book.
I know I can select specific individuals from my address book and add them to the rule, but I need the rule to automatically register that I add someone new to the address book and know that the pre-existing rule now does not apply to them.
The specific use case is that SpamAssassin software running on the server flags certain messages as spam by adding a string to the subject line. It's generally right, but it also throws up false positives sometimes. Being able to say that an email SpamAssassin has flagged but is from someone I know is NOT spam, would eliminate most of these false positives.
